TREVOR FRASERTrevor has been a Canadian PGA member and Teaching Professional since 2001. Before joining the Westwood Plateau Instruction team in 2002, Trevor spent four years in Alberta learning his trade in the golf business and honing his competitive skills playing on the his collegiate golf team at Lethbridge College. While there he called a private club in Calgary home before moving down the road to spend two years at the world-renowned Kananaskis Golf Club. It was during these years that he enrolled and graduated from the Canadian PGA Professional Golf Management Program.
More recently Trevor has been helping players of all abilities play better golf as a Senior Instructor at The Academy. Over the years he has taught players of all ages and abilities in many forums ranging from corporate group clinics to private sessions. As a seasoned Instructor who has taught well over 10,000 golf lessons, Trevor understands what elements of a lesson need to be there for you to reach your goals and improve your results in a measurable way.

DAVE ZIBRIKSince joining the CPGA in 2004, Dave has established himself as a leading instructor and player in the Lower Mainland. Having worked with players of all levels and abilities, he has a way of helping all of them. His holistic method of coaching revolves around teaching someone to “play” golf as opposed to working on building the perfect looking golf swing.
Dave can draw from his experience as being a tournament player as well. Having competed on various different tours and competing at a high level, Dave is able to offer valuable insight to course management and shooting lower scores when it counts. ASHLEY HOGGGrowing up in Squamish, Ashley competed as a junior and was consistently recognized as a top female junior golfer in the province. Upon completing her junior career she accepted a golf scholarship to Boise State University. During that time she won a NCAA Division 1 tournament with a tournament record 69 in the final round. She was nominated for the Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year award and earned the WAC’s Player of the Week honours in 2005. Since then Ashley has also competed at the Canadian Amateur Championships while representing Team BC after finishing 3rd at the 2006 BC Amateur. Ashley turned pro in 2007 and with her competitive nature continues to be involved in tournaments. Her love and passion for the game has now grown into a new love for teaching the best game in the world. Ashley’s approach to students is one that allows them to be relaxed in a fun, positive environment so that golfers of all abilities can thrive.
MARCO REDAVID, Staff InstructorMarco started golf at 12 years of age and by the time he was 15 he knew he wanted to make a career out of it. Under the guidance and instruction of John Aasen he had a very successful junior career which included 2 wins and many top 10 finishes. Upon completing his Junior career Marco went on to Camosun College where he played for the Chargers for 2 years and upon graduation in 2006 turned professional. Marco is going into his 5th season at Westwood Plateau and thoroughly enjoys his role as a teaching professional. He has a high level of expertise in Junior Golf and what it takes to compete at top levels. His passion and dedication to the game and to instruction are second to none and he strives to bring that to you in a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Marco thrives on challenges and feels it is important to focus on personal strengths and weaknesses to give you the customized tools you will need to achieve your goals.
MI SUN YOO, KLPGA, Staff InstructorMi Sun has an impressive background in elite sports that she draws on to bring the best out in your golf game. She was a key member of the Hyo Sung Volleyball team in her home country of Korea and won seven National titles in the 90’s. She graduated from Myung Ji University in Physical Education and holds a certificate as a Physical Education coach.
Mi Sun began playing golf as a young lady but her passion for competitiveness drew her to improve her skills and turn Professional in 2003. She moved to Canada in 2005 and became a CPGA member soon after. Mi Sun has been a key member of the Academy Teaching team for the past four years. She is a supporter and ambassador for women’s golf and enjoys many successes coaching her Korean clientele in the TriCities area.
Her relaxed style and good nature allow her students to feel at ease when taking a golf lesson, allowing them to learn and play their best. Mi Sun’s solid understand of the finer points of coaching the game will give you the skills and roadmap to becoming a better player.
MICHAEL YOON, Staff InstructorMichael took an interest in golf and started playing the game in his native Korea well over 20 years ago. He moved to Canada in 1998 and continued to grow his knowledge of the game while sharpening his playing skills. In recent years Michael has grown his teaching skills while coaching players of all ages and skill levels.
Michael has had great success in his teaching and, like any dedicated Instructor, thrives on receiving great feedback from his students. He will help you become the best that you can be, leading you to a deeper understanding of the game and the adjustments you need to play better golf. Michael is new to the Academy Instruction team and is very excited to instil his experience and philosophy of the game to his students in the Tri Cities community. Michael is highly skilled in his craft and can help you in any area of the game, from putting to driving.
