The Special Events Assistant position provides overall office administrative assistance to the Special Events Managers on weekends during the wedding season. This position is suited for an outgoing, customer service and detail oriented individual.

Shift Duties Include:

  • Site tours
  • Returning e-mails
  • Answering phone calls
  • Assisting with preparation of event set up
  • Assisting with vendors
  • Assisting with ceremonies on site
  • Creating signage
  • Closing files
  • Making estimated invoices
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Checking event space is set up properly
  • Meeting with prospective clients

Wedding Coordinator

A Wedding Coordinator plays a vital role in fulfilling our “Above and Beyond” service philosophy. The bride and groom have their confidence and trust in our facility, created by the Special Events Manager who has completed their details. A Wedding Coordinator continues the flow of the confidence by assisting the bride and groom from the time they arrive at Westwood Plateau until the time dancing begins. The ultimate goal is to insure that the bride and groom experience their dream wedding day.

Job Duties include:

  • Ensures timing details for bridal couple
  • Facilitate wedding rehearsals
  • Serve the head table during the wedding reception
  • Have a neat business-like appearance
  • Be aware of deliveries and vendor arrivals (i.e. Cake, flowers, boutonnieres, Dj’s etc)
  • Any additional duties assigned by Supervisor or F&B Management team

Job Requirements/Qualifications :

  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Serving It Right license is mandatory and Foodsafe is an asset
  • Must be 18+ because of alcohol service
