Golf Skills Instruction: Trevor Fraser, CPGA Teaching Professional
Trevor has been a Canadian PGA member and Teaching Professional since 2001. Before joining the Westwood Plateau teaching team in 2002, Trevor spent four years in Alberta learning his trade golf business and honing his skills playing competitive golf for his collegiate team at Lethbridge College. While there he called a private club in Calgary home before moving down the road to spend two years at the world-renowned Kananaskis Golf Club. It was during these years that he enrolled and graduated from the Canadian PGA Professional Golf Management Program.
More recently Trevor has been helping players of all abilities play better golf as Lead Instructor at the Academy at Westwood Plateau. He has taught players of all ages and abilities in many forums ranging from corporate groups to private sessions. He feels the style of teaching is as important as the instruction itself and modifies his coaching for each individuals’ needs. As a seasoned Instructor who has taught well over 10,000 golf lessons, Trevor understands what elements of a lesson need to be there for you to reach your goals and improve your results in a measurable way.
“The biggest misconception of golf technique instruction today is that you have to first experience major setbacks before seeing better results. This simply isn’t true for the vast majority of people I see each day. The feeling of a more solid, consistent golf shot is something you will experience right away!”
